• The Extension records audio only when you explicitly click Allow microphone or Start recording.
• Recordings are stored locally on your device in the Extension's IndexedDB database.
• The Extension does not upload your recordings to any remote server.
• The Extension does not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Data We Handle

When you use the Extension, it may handle:

• Microphone audio that you intentionally record.
• Recording metadata generated by the Extension:
  • File name
  • Created timestamp
  • Duration
  • File size and format

How We Use Data

Data is used only to provide core features:

• Record audio
• Play recordings
• Export recordings as WebM or MP3
• Delete recordings

Storage and Retention

• Data is stored locally in your browser profile using IndexedDB.
• Data remains on your device until you delete recordings or uninstall the Extension.
• The developer does not have remote access to this local data.

Data Sharing

• No sale of user data.
• No transfer of user data to data brokers or advertising platforms.
• No sharing with third parties, except if required by law.

Permissions

The Extension currently requests:

• sidePanel: to open the recorder UI in Chrome side panel.

Microphone access is requested by the browser only when you start or grant recording access.

Security

• No remote upload pipeline is used for recordings.
• No remote script execution is used for core Extension logic.
• MP3 conversion is performed locally in the browser.

Your Choices

• You can delete any recording from the Extension UI.
• You can remove all Extension data by uninstalling the Extension.
• You can revoke microphone permission in Chrome settings.

Chrome Web Store Compliance

Use of user data is limited to the Extension's single purpose: local audio recording and management features described in the Chrome Web Store listing and UI.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if Extension behavior changes. The latest version will be published at the same policy URL.
